This week has sure been a roller coaster, with temperatures ranging from the mid 90’s with 40 mph winds to the 40’s and 50’s in a matter of days. Wildfires in the deep woods of Minnesota filled the air with smoke and wind erosion from the Dakotas filled it with dust. Through it all, farmers persevere through planting season, and we’re right there working alongside them. Let’s take a look at what our volunteers have been up to this week.
The Angels in Blue are helping a father and son duo both suffering from significant health challenges near Beloit, KS. At a case close to Venturia, ND, our volunteers battled through high winds and high temperatures to get the Farm Rescue planter repaired and were able to get planting done for a family dealing with cancer. Our volunteers are assisting a farmer recovering from shoulder surgery in the LaMoure, ND area with planting his soybeans.
Recently, we received word of a potential harvest case for this year. Even though it’s only planting season, if you or a farmer you know will be in need of harvest assistance this year, it’s not too early to apply for help.
Respectfully,
