More Horsepower

Wild horses couldn’t drag us away from farmers and ranchers in crisis this week!

A very long rattlesnake shed skin gave the crew in Plains, Kansas, a bit of a pause but they fought back the rain clouds and sandburs to help a local family support one of their own dealing with illness.

A Rolette, North Dakota, family suffered the unexpected loss of their farmer right as harvest needed to begin. Our Angels in Blue were able to bring in their crops and relieve some mental anguish during this terrible time.

Farm Rescue’s founder Bill Gross was in Washington D.C. and was able to attend Brew Across America, an annual Congressional brewing competition put on by Anheuser-Busch. Teams of brewers participating in the competition were assigned a charitable partner. Winners are voted on by attendees and the Anheuser-Busch Foundation makes a donation to charitable partners based on how their team placed. Farm Rescue was honored to be included this year and greatly appreciates the generous $10,000 donation from the Anheuser-Busch Foundation!

Our souped-up volunteers making tracks this week included Bill Gross, Harrison Schweitzer, Scott Williams, Albert Lautenschlager, Louis Lautenschlager, David Endorf, Mike Wilson, Mike Youngblood, Skip Henton, Randy Woods, Greg Hill, Jack Limke, and Ross Nelson. Thank you so much for keeping farmers and ranchers in the race!
