The Farm Rescue hive has been abuzz with harvest activities this week.
Alden, Iowa, was the site of a recent one-day harvest bee. Friends, neighbors, and Farm Rescue joined forces to help a family in crisis.
A Garner, Iowa, farmer is recovering from surgery and facing a long road to recovery. Farm Rescue volunteers are working to get his family’s crop in.
There were two separate cases of farmers recovering from injuries in Belmond, Iowa, so Farm Rescue sent two crews to that area to take one thing off their to-do lists.
Unverferth Manufacturing is generously sponsoring the use of a Brent V800 grain cart throughout our fall harvest operations. This piece of equipment has been an incredibly helpful addition to our corn harvest efforts.
Our crew in Scranton, Kansas, is wrapping up harvest for a family whose farmer was injured in an accident on the farm.
A farmer in Hiawatha, Kansas, was facing a long recovery from a necessary procedure and our volunteers were able to help get his family’s crop harvested in a timely manner.
A White, South Dakota, farmer suffered an injury that is keeping him from harvesting, so our Angels in Blue minded the gap and gave the family and the farmer time to heal.
Farm Rescue boots are on the ground in Harvey, North Dakota, too, so a farm family can sort out debilitating health issues without worrying about harvesting their soybeans.
Our mission is to keep families farming through illness, injury, and natural disasters. We rely on donations from people and businesses to do that. We appreciate the support from our partners and those who want to see this way of life live on. If you would like to make a donation, click here.
Farm Rescue was honored to be among six beneficiaries of the recent Lallemand Plant Care -USA “Hometown Roots” photo contest. Joe Bryce, son of volunteer Al Bryce, entered a photo he took of his teenage son on “Drive Your Tractor to School Day.” His photo was then selected as the winner for the entire state of Minnesota! Farm Rescue thanks Joe for capturing this incredible image and for choosing us for this generous donation! To see Joe’s winning photo click here.
We would also like to thank our Angels in Blue for their contributions this week including Rick London, Cindy London, Mike Youngblood, Wade Peterson, Kenny Crites, Andy Mueller, Lance Wach, Keith Barkema, Kenneth Chyle, Emil Baranko, Chester Arnold, Ivan Arnold, Kevin Smitherman, Artie Payne, John Drilling, Mark Litka, Derek Nord, Carl Benck, Glenn Biederman, Vane Clayton, David Hunter, Greg Hill, Andy Stender, and David Endorf.
