I Spy

I spy with my little eye a group of dedicated volunteers from across the country that are willing to help farm families in crisis.

Every week, I am in awe as Farm Rescue’s Angels in Blue harvest the grain, bale the hay, and do what needs to be done so farm families can take time to heal.

Enderlin, North Dakota, is home to a farm family that was left reeling by an unexpected death. Our volunteers have been harvesting their corn and giving them some financial security in a time of deep heartbreak.

A serious car accident left a Marble Rock, Iowa, farmer with lingering injuries that have made operating machinery difficult. Farm Rescue put boots on the ground harvesting his corn and soybeans so he can concentrate on his recovery.

A Mt. Pulaski, Illinois, farm family is also trying to help their farmer recover from injuries he suffered in a car accident. Volunteers are working to get their corn and soybeans harvested so they have one less worry on their minds.

A farmer in Trimont, Minnesota, was also recently injured in an automobile accident. He welcomed a team of Angels in Blue and several cameras in his fields this week! Our volunteers helped his dad with their corn harvest by hauling to the local ethanol plant, operating a neighbor’s combine, and even tackling some tillage work. Ag influencer Zach Johnson, known as the Millennial Farmer on social media, visited their farm to highlight our mission and the incredible volunteers serving this family. Friends and neighbors also offered help to carry them across the finish line.

Farm Rescue isn’t hiding the fact that we appreciate our volunteers including the Millennial Farmer Zach Johnson, Kenny Crites, Mark Madler, Gary Kline, Larry Heyen, Roy Schreffler, Joseph Trewin, Frank Shaler, Tom Louderback, Cary Slominski, David Ferrell, Jeremy Surovy, Kevin Smitherman, Kenneth Chyle, and Emil Baranko.
