Fall harvest is winding down for Farm Rescue. Equipment is being cleaned up and made ready for winter storage.
A Garnett, Kansas, farmer has been hospitalized due to illness and our Angels in Blue are ready to help, but the area has had several rounds of rain over the last few days. The soil and grain will have to dry out quite a bit before any cutting can take place.
A Dunseith, North Dakota, rancher lost almost all of his hay due to fire. Farm Rescue has several loads ready for him and herd when the time is right.
Those three days of fall-like weather were sure nice, weren’t they? There’s a cold north wind blowing by my office currently and a steady rain sweeps through every so often, too. You won’t catch me complaining about rain in November, but I’ll tell anyone who’ll listen how much I love a good, windy day.
I’ll also tell everyone how much I appreciate our loyal volunteers, who this week included Albert Lautenschlager, Ron Gosse, Adam Harvey, and Mark Madler.
