Ever unpredictable, the weather here in North Dakota has taken turn towards the very warm to hot. A brief heat wave will be spiking the temperatures into the 90’s as planting continues apace. Conditions are quite dry. Hopefully we receive some moisture soon to mitigate fire risk.
It was another busy week for our volunteers. We helped a farmer near New Salem, ND plant his corn and soybeans as he undergoes treatments for bone cancer. In the McClusky, ND area, volunteers are planting for a farmer and volunteer fireman who sustained serious burns in the line of duty. Down in Kansas, our volunteers finished two cases near Wallace.Â
We’d like to wish the mothers in our community a heartfelt Happy Mothers’ Day from us here at Farm Rescue! Thank you for everything you do to be the heart and soul of the farm families that feed us.
Respectfully,
-James LaPlante
