Q: How do I apply for assistance?
A:  You may print an application directly from the Farm Rescue website or call (701) 252-2017 to request an application by mail.  Instructions for submitting the application are on the form. 
 
Q: Who is eligible to apply for assistance?
A:  The primary eligibility requirements for applicants are listed below:
  1. Actively engaged in farming.
  2. Have a viable farmering operation.
  3. Have at least three years of experience operating your own farm.
 

Q: Who makes the final determination of which farmers qualify for assistance?

A:  The Farm Rescue board of directors will make the final decision. All information from applications is kept confidential and used only to determine eligibility for assistance.
 
Q: Who are the board members?
A:  The volunteer board of directors is comprised of individuals from Farm Rescue, North Dakota Agricultural Mediation Services, Farm Service Agency, NDSU Extension Service, and Northland Financial.
 
Q: Is there a limit to how often a farmer may receive assistance?
A:  Yes, Farm Rescue assistance is limited to one planting and harvesting operation every three years per family farm.
 
Q: How do I make a donation to Farm Rescue?
A:   Donations by check or money order should be mailed to the following address:

Q: Are donations to Farm Rescue tax deductible?
A:  Yes, Farm Rescue is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt nonprofit organization.  Donations are deductible to the maximum extent allowed by law.
 
Q: What geographic areas does Farm Rescue serve?
